Of course, the Hunter FellFlex felling clamp is not complete without our accurate and comprehensive service and custom safety training.
You can also turn to Hunter for the annual inspection. The user is always the focus in the development of Hunter machines. That’s why the Hunter FellFlex is built on a robust base chassis with guaranteed protection.

To properly operate the Hunter FellFlex, the following functions are required:
The saw unit features proportional chain lubrication and an automatic chain tensioner. This improves cutting performance and reduces wear on drive sprockets, nose sprockets, and chains. Additionally, the risk of a too loose or too tight chain, which could pose safety hazards, is eliminated.
Our experienced technicians carefully adjust the saw unit according to your crane's specifications, creating a perfect synergy between the carrier and the Hunter FellFlex. We emphasize maximum chain speed combined with the pressure at which the saw blade engages the trunk. The operator can easily adjust this pressure using an external valve. The faster the saw blade cuts through the trunk, the sooner the operator gains full control. This is one of the factors that sets us apart from the competition.
The Hultdins grapple is equipped with expander pins/bushings on all rotating parts. This ensures that forces generated within the clamp are properly absorbed by the designated components. Over time, every clamp develops play—this is simply inevitable. However, with adjustable expander pins/bushings, this play can be easily corrected, significantly extending the machine’s lifespan. After all, "play creates more play."
Since the Hunter FellFlex is not only used for felling trees and branches but also functions as an excellent log sorting clamp, we choose to keep the shell sections smooth (without teeth). Only essential teeth are placed in the "belly" of the clamp, providing sufficient grip and stability when cutting both thick and thin branches/trees. These teeth do not obstruct sorting and moving logs. The teeth are easily replaceable when they wear out over time.
