De Better is een wendbare werktuigdrager met lage bodemdruk, ideaal voor
natuurbeheer, paludicultuur en werk in kwetsbare gebieden.
Ook in bosbouw bewijst hij zich met een draaibare stoel, PTO’s – vol vermogen belastbaar geschikt voor mulchers en lieren.
Gemeenten waarderen zijn inzet bij maaien, vegen, sneeuwruimen en onkruidbeheer.
Dankzij zijn compactheid en vierwielbesturing is hij ideaal voor werk in smalle straten of op moeilijk bereikbare plekken.
Daarnaast is hij inzetbaar in de landbouw, voorladerwerk en zelfs in de winterdienst met sneeuwschuiver of strooier.
Frame volledig vervaardigd uit hoogwaardig staal, wat zorgt voor uitstekende sterkte en elasticiteit met behoud van een laag gewicht.
De voor- en achterassen zijn rechtstreeks verbonden met de respectievelijke hefinrichtingen, waardoor een perfecte aanpassing van de werktuigen aan het terrein wordt gegarandeerd.
The steel frame offers high strength with less weight than cast iron components. The power-to-weight ratio has always been a strong point for BM tractors, dating back to the 1990s with 3,000 kg for the 115 hp model, up to today’s 4,600 kg/170 hp. For many tasks requiring low soil compaction with tools needing high power to operate, this ratio is essential.
The reversible steering allows the operator to choose which axle to steer. For example, when driving in reverse, steering can be done with either the front or rear axle, as needed.
The entire driver’s seat/steering column and armrest rotate 180° with the release of a single lever, while remaining comfortably seated. The steering and drive controls are automatically reversed.
Front implements can be coupled to the rear for road transport, and once at the destination, you can turn the seat in 5 seconds and begin work with excellent visibility as the implement is now close to the operator's seat. Additionally, the weight at the rear is compensated by the diesel component on the opposite side. This is also very safe for road transport, especially at intersections: the implement does not protrude over the front.
Isodiametric 4-wheel steering is standard on the BETTER tractor.
A very small turning radius of R 3500/4000 mm, depending on tire type. The Better is highly maneuverable in tight spaces and operates safely. Where the front wheel goes, the rear wheel follows.

De machine heeft een elektronisch geregelde hydrostatische aandrijving. Met de joystick regel je de snelheid traploos van 0 tot 40 km/u. Bij overbelasting schakelt het systeem automatisch terug.
De single pump is voor normale omstandigheden. Deze uitvoering heeft één pomp en is daardoor energie-efficiënter, maar levert minder vermogen.
De keuze voor een dual pump biedt extra kracht dankzij twee pompen. Dit zorgt voor meer rijvermogen en maakt de machine beter inzetbaar in extreem zware omstandigheden of bij hellingen, waar meer vermogen aan de wielen vereist is.
*De versnellingsbak met 2 tandwielen is alleen beschikbaar voor de dual pomp. De versnellingsbak met 3 tandwielen is alleen beschikbaar voor de single pomp.

The rear lifting system is designed to optimize the balance of the machine.
With a wheel diameter of no more than 1200 mm, the implement can be mounted very close to the axle, providing excellent maneuverability and balance between the loaded rear axle and the lighter front axle.
An adjustable implement float system is standardly mounted to adjust to the weight of the implement.
The machine uses a preloaded nitrogen accumulator to partially relieve the weight of the implement on the axle. This ensures a stronger grip on the ground, facilitates forward movement without pushing the implement, but rather carrying it.
The core of the machine is a single gearbox powered by the flywheel shaft at the output.
This unit contains both the hydrostatic transmission and clutch components for the PTO with 540 and 1,000 rpm.
The mechanical ratios are very efficient, allowing all diesel engine power to be transferred to the rear PTO via a single set of gears.
Depending on the implement, the gear ratio is selected for 540 or 1,000 rpm.
From the gearbox, a driveshaft leads the PTO to the rear of the machine. The chassis contains a gearbox with two shafts, allowing both right (lower shaft) and left (upper shaft) rotation. This ensures that any tool available to the user can be connected without issues regarding rotation direction.
To achieve balance with the Better, we have maximized the distance between the two axles by practically bringing the wheels to the end of the machine. This feature ensures that even on uneven terrain, obstacles or steep slopes can be overcome..
The connection of the relevant frames with the axles is another important aspect.
Each lifting system and chassis, both front and rear, are integrated with the axle. Therefore, the implement perfectly follows the ground, as each is close to its reference wheels.
Even with a front loader, this system provides more stability compared to machines with a front oscillating axle that is independent of the chassis.
De Better van BM Tractors is optioneel uit te rusten met de krachtige en veelzijdige Front Loader “Higher Plus”. Deze robuuste voorlader is volledig hydraulisch bedienbaar via een intuïtieve joystick en ontworpen voor professioneel gebruik in onder andere gemeentewerk, landschapsbeheer, bosbouw en terreinonderhoud.
Dankzij het parallellogrammechanisme blijven aanbouwdelen zoals een grondbak, palletvork of mestklem tijdens het heffen en zakken automatisch in de juiste werkhoek. Dit vergroot niet alleen het gebruiksgemak, maar verhoogt ook de veiligheid en precisie tijdens het werk.
De combinatie van vierwielbesturing, een draaibare bestuurdersstoel en de compacte bouwwijze van de Better maakt deze frontlader uiterst wendbaar en geschikt voor werken
in krappe of moeilijk bereikbare omgevingen.
De Better is volledig af te stemmen op jouw toepassing. Kies uit een breed pakket aan accessoires zoals: fronthydrauliek met mechanische of hydraulische topstang, en een PTO front 1000 omw/min.
Aan de voorzijde is ruimte voor montage, extra hydraulische aansluitingen, een voorlader en frontgewichten (12 x 33 kg).
Ook aan de achterzijde zijn er uitgebreide mogelijkheden, zoals dubbelwerkende achterhydrauliek,
een zware trekhaak, kogelkopkoppeling en een luchtremsysteem tot 14.000 kg.
Voor zwaardere toepassingen
is er een kabellier met 5700 kg trekkracht. Voor werk in ruig terrein of bosbouw is er volledige bosbescherming, met bodembescherming, dakbescherming en achterruitbescherming.
Op het gebied van comfort en veiligheid zijn er opties als een Grammer Maximo Dynamic-stoel,
verwarmde achterruit, LED-koplampen, een omkeerbare ventilator (ook automatisch verstelbaar), motorverwarming 220 V, extra spiegels en zelfs een kleur naar wens.
When designing the Better, it was crucial to ensure that the engine/gearbox assembly could fit within the steel frame. This allowed most of the weight to be transferred to the ground, resulting in a significantly low center of gravity, even though the cabin and driver's seat are elevated, still providing excellent visibility.
The Better allows work on hills/mountains with excellent results, respecting the terrain and ensuring the operator's safety against tipping, thanks to all the described features.
According to the table, under static conditions, when the machine is anchored to the ground, the transverse tilt angle would be 100% at a slope of 45°.
These figures highlight the safety level when operating the Better, even under challenging conditions. However, it is not recommended to test this during actual work.
