Paludiculture (wet agriculture) without soil damage
Our focus on sustainability and minimal environmental impact makes us an attractive choice for customers working in ecologically sensitive and protected nature areas. With a ground pressure starting at 75 gr/cm2, our machines can operate without causing significant damage to the soil. This is in stark contrast to the ground pressure of an average person, which is around 300 gr/cm2.
Nature-based solutions
The technology we offer at Wellink Equipment helps protect and restore natural ecosystems. Our machines contribute to the sustainable harvesting of biomass, intended for, among other things, bio-based building materials, ensuring the protection of biodiversity in nature.
Custom solutions for specific needs
Additionally, we offer customized solutions and develop attachments to meet specific needs and applications. Our specialists in electronics, control, hydraulics, and engineering make it possible to create tailor-made, technologically advanced attachments that perfectly match our customers' needs.
Collaboration
The collaboration between Wellink & LogLogic results in a joint manufacturer that thinks along with you. Together, we offer customer-focused solutions, are more innovative, flexible, and capable of delivering machines for the growing market. This collaboration and our joint experience ensure optimal expertise that can be applied in other and potentially new markets.
The Softrak 140 is equipped with the Stage V, 3.6-liter (140 hp) Deutz TCD engine. This engine meets the latest emission standards and is known for its excellent reliability and low fuel consumption. The Softrak 140 offers various attachment options.
The LogLogic is the machine used in paludiculture (wet cultivation). Due to prolonged dry periods and periods of extreme rainfall, more and more wet areas are emerging. Conventional farming is impossible in these peat areas. Paludiculture offers the solution in these areas, which are impassable for normal agricultural machines. The ST 140 is ideally suited for these wet grounds, allowing the peat soil to remain productive. Several crops can be grown with paludiculture, such as bulrush, reed, or sphagnum moss. Wellink has gained experience with bulrush, a crop used in various new products such as bio-based insulation or building materials.

Wellink Equipment has developed a harvesting system together with various partners, including wetland owners and end processors of paludiculture biomass. Paludiculture means wet cultivation and is derived from the Latin word ‘palus’, which means swamp. Based on a series-built tracked vehicle with very low ground pressure, we can harvest various types of biomass throughout the year, such as reed (chopped or bundled), grass, sphagnum moss, reed, canary grass, and heath. Our technology meets the highest environmental standards, such as Stage V engine technology and biodegradable hydraulic oil. Special care must be taken with water-rich soils to prevent oil leakage!
Step 1
Non-suction harvesting of various paludiculture biomass (reed, bulrush, mosses, grasses, heath) for biodiversity benefits.
Step 2
The possibility to reduce to various fractions for easy further processing and transport (ensiling/drying/direct processing in the factory).
Step 3
Optimal and clean collection and transport process to a storage location or transport system to optimize incoming and outgoing logistics.
Step 4
Loading into a container without further intervention, allowing for further processing in the short term.
Step 5
Registration and monitoring of usage costs, harvest capacities, and off-road logistics, such as traveled distances and loading dock positions for future projects. Future field and operational optimization.
Step 6
Recording the weight of the harvested material (e.g., summer or winter harvest).
We are currently further developing the 6-step harvesting method. Wellink Equipment sees even more opportunities to add some steps, namely harvesting two different, separate biomasses in one harvest, for separate further processing, such as bulrush. Wellink Equipment wants to further develop harvesting technique and harvesting systems knowledge and use existing experience to increase capacity.
To meet the demand for a multifunctional and flexible all-terrain collection concept, we have developed a new concept based on existing techniques. By means of special, non-suction flails, material of varying diversity and length can be mowed or chopped. The mowed product is thrown by the flails into a fast-moving auger, which then transports it to a cutting unit equipped with knives.
The cutting knives can be quickly and easily sharpened with an integrated grinding system, ensuring that the cutting quality remains consistent and requires minimal power. After the material has been cut by the cutting unit, it is ejected by a thrower wheel via the discharge pipe. The discharge pipe has an electrically rotatable discharge section, with an electrically adjustable discharge flap at the end. For transport purposes, the discharge pipe is foldable. The mowing height is determined by sliding shoes that set the minimum mowing height, but in principle, the DC 1700 is kept at height by the lifting system of the Softrak.
The LogLogic DC 1700 is hydraulically driven with a powerful hydraulic motor that can transfer the maximum available power, and where working speeds can be varied from the Softrak 140 cabin if necessary. With a working width of 170 cm and a weight of approximately 750 kg, the LogLogic DC 1700 is one of the best attachments, partly due to its low maintenance costs, which you can purchase with the Softrak 140.

A harvest demonstration with special machines took place at the Donaumoos cooperation association's test plot. The five-hectare area, where moisture-resistant crops such as bulrush, reed grass, sedges, and old grass grow, is a re-wetted peat area. The demonstration took place as part of the “MoorBewi” project.

The Chaser high tipper is a product developed by Wellink for tipping mowed material into a container. To prevent the harvested material from becoming contaminated, it can be unloaded directly into a clean container. The mowed material is free of sand, gravel, and stones, saving a lot of time. The tipping height is 265 cm, and the transport height is 310 cm.
Under certain conditions, it is desirable for the contact surface of the Loglogic machines to increase significantly, thereby reducing the sinking to a minimum. For this reason, Loglogic has designed a lightweight solution that can be equipped on all existing and new machines. We have developed a special ‘Band over Band’ system for this, the Track Topper! All Loglogic machines can be fitted with standard track wideners of 80, 90, and 100 cm. Track Toppers are made of high-quality rubber strips that lie next to the tracks. These rubber strips are connected by specially cast, wear-resistant, and ‘stiff’ strips. The cast strips fit perfectly between the track profiles, preventing them from slipping relative to the tracks. These strips bend sufficiently when necessary, allowing optimal soil adaptation and preventing the soil from being cut into during turns or steering. Steering and correcting the Tool- and Softrak remain smooth, and since the base track profile is ‘filled’ by the intermediate special strips, the surface of the rubber track is less aggressive, preserving the soil surface.
